The FlightSimWeekend Foundation (Stichting FlightSimWeekend) was officially established on November 19, 2024, to formalize the organisation behind the renowned FlightSimWeekend event. Built on decades of community enthusiasm and volunteer-driven passion, the foundation is dedicated to uniting aviation and flight simulation enthusiasts, developers, and professionals while showcasing the exciting world of virtual aviation.
Our Mission
The foundation’s core mission is to:
- Organise the annual FlightSimWeekend event, offering a unique platform for hobbyists, developers, and enthusiasts to explore, share, and celebrate flight simulation.
- Foster community engagement, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for participants of all types. For instance, community exhibitors—clubs and non-commercial groups—can participate in the event, allowing them to focus on sharing their knowledge and passion.
- Promote education and innovation, inspiring the next generation of aviation enthusiasts through interactive exhibits, presentations, and hands-on experiences.
