Is FlightSimWeekend 2027 still being held at the Aviodrome Aviation Museum in Lelystad?
No. After many successful years at Aviodrome Lelystad, FlightSimWeekend is moving to a new, larger venue for 2027: Expo Houten, near Utrecht. Due to the record-breaking attendance of our 2026 edition and the rapid growth of the community, the move to Expo Houten allows us to provide the space and modern facilities necessary for the future of the event.
Why was the decision made to move from Lelystad to Houten (Utrecht)?
The decision to transition from Lelystad to Houten (Utrecht) was made to ensure the continued quality, independence, and professional growth of the event. Our new central location in the Netherlands offers significantly better accessibility for both national and international exhibitors, as well as the capacity for larger, more professional exhibits.
What does the new venue mean for the atmosphere of the event?
While we look back fondly on our history at the Aviodrome Aviation Museum in Lelystad, the move to Expo Houten near Utrecht enables us to host a premier trade-show-style event. Visitors can expect the same passion for flight simulation they’ve always known, but in a setting optimized for the latest technological innovations, hardware demonstrations, and a more comfortable experience for the crowd.
